OPINION — How the rehashed topic of a ballot initiative to change the way San Angelo selects its police chief is not known, but the movement to have the city manager and council select a chief instead of the current police chief election is certain to fail. Proponents of changing the process do not understand the political environment of 2022. The police can take away anyone’s freedom— that is how the law works. SAN ANGELO, TX — After a disappointing season opener against the TLCA Eagles, the Lake View Chiefs (0-1) hosted the Midessa Warriors on Tuesday, Nov 15, at Lake View High School at 7 p.m. The Chiefs gave a better showing than their first outing and led much of the game. Criminal Investigator for the Tom Green County D.A.'s Office Passes Away Suddenly

SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo Police Officers Coalition is reporting the death over the weekend of a well known investigator for the Tom Green County District Attorney's Office.   In a social media post Tuesday, the coalition shared the following information: Early Sunday morning Criminal Investigator Steven Carnes of the 51st and 119th District Attorney's Office was attempting to make an arrest and suffered a medical emergency. Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Jose Hernandez, of Pecos, was arrested in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on Nov. 9. A Crime Stoppers reward will be paid in Hernandez’s capture. Two Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into West Texas Library

MIDLAND, TX – Two young adults were killed on Sunday morning after they crashed into a structure at the Midland County Public Library. According to the Midland Police Department, on Nov. 13 at around 3 a.m., officers with the Midland Police Department were dispatched to the Midland Public Library on the 200 block of W. DALLAS, TX — B-17G N7227C was involved in a fatal crash over Dallas Executive Airport (the old Redbird Airport) in south Dallas Saturday. The Commemorative Air Force B-17G was nicknamed the “Texas Raiders” and was based in Conroe.
