When I reviewed Park City’s Silver Star Cafe a decade or so ago, I ended the review by saying, “Silver Star Cafe might not have the dazzle of some of Park City’s and Deer Valley’s more hoity-toity restaurants. But Silver Star has a special sizzle all its own.” Today, I still stand by that sentiment. I was referring primarily to the ambiance and decor of Silver Star when I said it “might not have the dazzle” of more posh eateries at the resorts and on Main Street. But Silver Star Cafe has an ambiance of its own that is unique, warm and inviting. There might not be a valet out front or a maÎtre d’ waiting to seat you, but the owners and staff are as welcoming and friendly as any restaurant I can think of.
The Chick-fil-A Autumn Spice Milkshake is being test marketed by the QSR brand to provide patrons with a way to enjoy a sweet treat that doesn't skimp on autumnal flavor as we head into the fall months. The milkshake features the brand's Icedream dessert that is blended with the flavors of cinnamon, cardamom and orange along with crunchy pieces of speculoos cookies. SALT LAKE CITY — Chick-Fil-A announced Thursday a new flavor of milkshake will be tested in the Salt Lake City area. The Autumn Spice milkshake consists of vanilla ice cream, along with ingredients such as cinnamon, orange, and cardamom. Its flavor is added with pieces of speculoos cookies, which taste like spiced shortbread.

Chick-fil-A has a thing for not just testing out new menu items in select markets, but actually filling us in so we can anticipate a (hopefully) nationwide release. That’s what happened this past summer with the Butterscotch Crumb Milkshake, and now there’s another frozen treat in the works. This one, however, is everything we could want for the fall season.
Park City is hallowed ground when it comes to beer; it's where Utah's modern craft beer movement began in 1986, when Greg Schirf founded Wasatch Beers. Many breweries and brewpubs have opened up since then, including Park City Brewing Company, Shades of Pale Brewing Company (now Shades Brewing) and Park City Brewery (which is reorganizing in SLC). All have subsequently left Utah's premier resort town for one reason or another, with many more in the planning stages finding it to be a challenging endeavor as well.
