ISP Investigating Three Weekend Crashes

Illinois State Police are investigating three weekend crashes in the area. The latest happened yesterday (Sunday) in Wayne County. According to preliminary data, troopers say 21 year old Rachel Paul of Missouri was westbound on I-64 near milepost 108 when she left the roadway and struck the guardrail. After the impact, her Toyota Rav 4 traveled down an embankment before coming to rest in a wooded area of the median. Luckily, Paul was able to escape the vehicle before it caught fire. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and cited for Improper Lane Usage. That crash happened around 12:40pm.

One man injured after two-vehicle collision in Saline County

A man has been hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon on Illinois Route 142 at Boorland Road, according to Illinois State Police. According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 3:12 p.m., a Maroon 2012 Chevy Captiva was turning southbound onto Illinois 142 from Bixler Road, failed to yield the right of way, and was struck by a man driving a Black 2004 Honda Shadow Motorcycle.

ISP Reports Two Separate Vehicle Accidents in Saline County Saturday

SALINE COUNTY – One person was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident Saturday afternoon in Saline County. According to Illinois State Police, 30-year-old Noah Thillet of Shawneetown was turning south onto Illinois 142 from Bixler Road as a motorcycle driven by 19-year-old Riley J. Harper of Harrisburg was heading north on Illinois 142.

Saline County homicide victim ID’d

HARRISBURG, Ill. (WJPF) — Illinois State Police have identified the dead body found May 12 along Route 13 west of Harrisburg. ISP says Doyle Winston III, 42, of Harrisburg was the victim of a homicide. An exact manner of death has not been released. Police say their investigation is ongoing....
