COVID shutdown forces St. Charles to forfeit two football games

Positive tests and contact tracing forced St. Charles to forfeit its Week 4 football game against Bath and will do the same in Week 5, giving a forfeit win to Dansville. “The COVID bug stepped in and beat us,” St. Charles athletic director Leon Larsen said. “We had positive cases early in the week in the school and the teams, so we paused our two football programs for two weeks.”

They join Saginaw Public Schools, which began the year with a mandate, and Midland Public Schools, which required masks for K-6 students and staff after dealing with an outbreak.
