Only two COVID cases reported in Russell County last week

The Lake Cumberland District Health Department has begun sending out weekly reports as opposed to daily reports on COVID-19 cases in the area. LCDHD sent out a weekly report on Sunday, showing that only two new COVID-19 cases were reported in Russell County last week. As of Sunday, there was only one active case in the county, which was self-isolated.

Committee to begin search for new RCHS Principal

State Police Arrest Two Persons Saturday Afternoon

Two persons were arrested Saturday afternoon in Russell County by troopers with the Kentucky State Police. Reports are that 29 year old Angel Little of Russell Springs was arrested by Trooper Harper shortly before 7 o’clock Saturday evening and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, first degree methamphetamine; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Driving While Under the Influence; and other motor vehicle violations.
