Teachers help build the vibe of a school — not just individual teachers themselves, but academic departments as a whole. For instance, everyone knows social studies classes are the most chill departments, whereas English classes are a little more interactive and outgoing. Our previous art teachers established a culture of their own that their students really responded to. To have the whole department replaced is a lot to handle all at once. To be honest, the students were a little nervous, not knowing if they would like their school’s new art teachers. As we get to know them, however, we see that they were not as bad as we thought they would be. They brought a life of their own for students going through a heavy transition. Let us take a closer look at what makes them so unique and special. This year at Madison County High School, we have not one, but two, new art teachers: Alondra Arevalo and Emily Rampley. If and when you have the opportunity to meet them, they are nothing short of awesome!
