Officials in Roseau County are releasing more information on a fatal train/vehicle collision that took place Friday. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 44 year old Richard Lussier, of Warroad. According to Roseau County Sheriff Steven Gust, the 2001 Chevy truck Lussier was driving was stopped on the railroad tracks on County Road 12 at the intersection of Trunk Highway 11, east of Warroad. Witnesses say the vehicle was between the railroad crossing arms, which were down when it was struck. Lights were flashing, and the train horn was blowing at the time of the collision reported at 3:32pm Friday.

Officials in Roseau County are investigating a fatal train/vehicle collision. According to the Sheriff’s Office, agencies responded to the incident around 3:30pm Friday, and found a 44 year old male deceased. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives. The incident remains under investigation.
