COVINGTON, Va. (WFXR) — Covington first responders were called out to Stuple Lane on Monday afternoon to battle a house fire. According to the City of Covington, members of the Covington Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service responded to 1137 Stuple Lane shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11 for a report of a house fire.

VIDEO: ArenaMend Classic at The Greenbrier

Competitors from across the globe got ready before the start of the first day of the ArenaMend Classic at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs Thursday. The show jumping competition is bringing around 200 professional riders from all over the world to compete for a maximum of $500,000 prize money. The event is the first of its kind at The Greenbrier Resort and the first time in the United States that a resort has hosted a horse show. It is also the first carbon neutral horse show.

Waterford takes down Caldwell, 27-14

WATERFORD – The Waterford Wildcats celebrated senior night in grand fashion Friday night with a 27-14 win over the visiting Caldwell Redskins. Wildcat senior tailback Holden Dailey had a huge night in his final regular season home game as he gained 220 yards on 27 carries while scoring three touchdowns to lead the way for Waterford which improved to 6-2 on the season.
