Man accused of pulling gun

WINCHESTER — A Frederick County man is accused of pointing a pistol at a man and threatening him in a home in the 1000 block of Woodstock Lane in Winchester. Police were called to the home at 11:41 p.m. on July 13, according to police Officer Edward Fincham’s criminal complaint. The resident of the home said she was in her bedroom with a male friend when she heard banging on the bedroom door. She said when she opened the door, a man named Promise ‘Meh Zion Foreva was standing there. She and the man said Foreva pulled out a small semi-automatic pistol, racked the slide to chamber a round, then pointed the pistol and threatened the man. The woman said she was unsure how Foreva got in her home and he wasn’t invited in.

Health Department confirms variant is in Mineral County

KEYSER - The latest COVID-19 variant which has been growing in numbers throughout the United States is now officially in Mineral County. According to the Mineral County Health Department, the “variant of concern has been detected in a COVID-19 specimen taken from a resident of Mineral County during routine public health surveillance.”

Maryland man charged with stealing firearms in Keyser

MARTINSBURG – Richard Lee Tyndall Jr., of Oldtown, Maryland, was indicted Wednesday on charges of stealing firearms from a business in Keyser. Acting United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard said Tyndall, 43, was indicted on two counts of stealing firearms from a dealer and two counts of unlawful possession of firearms. Tyndall, a person prohibited from having firearms because of a prior conviction, is accused of stealing eight firearms from a licensed dealer in Mineral County on Sept. 4, 2019.
