Wyoming Man Arrested For Taco John’s Burglary, $12,000 Damage

A Rock Springs man was behind bars at last report for robbing a Rock Springs taco restaurant and causing $12,000 in property damage. That's according to a post on the Rock Springs Police Department Facebook page. According to the post, police were called to the Taco John's on Center Street in Rock Springs on Wednesday morning on a report of a burglary.

Rock Springs man arrested in Wednesday’s Taco Johns burglary

September 24, 2021– From the Rock Springs Police Department. On the morning of Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Officers of the Rock Springs Police Department responded to Taco John’s, 450 N. Center Street, for the report of a burglary. When the officers arrived, they witnessed extensive damage to both the interior and exterior of the building. Taco John’s management estimated the property damage was around $12,000 and also reported an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the restaurant.

ROCK SPRINGS — The Rock Springs Police Department (RSPD) will have to make do with its one parking and nuisance control officer for the time being. The Rock Springs City Council decided not to fill a vacant the police department’s parking and nuisance control officer position this week. (ROCK SPRINGS, WY) For bargain hunters there may be no better target than gas, with the cheapest station in the Rock Springs area offering savings of $0.16 per gallon. According to a survey by GasBuddy, Flying J at 650 Stagecoach Dr was the cheapest station in the area, with regular listed at $3.63 per gallon at the pumps Wednesday. That was compared to Chevron at 1620 Elk St, where a gallon of regular was selling for $3.79.

BLM to Start Gathering Wild Horses in Southwest Wyoming

ROCK SPRINGS — In support of the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) mission to sustainably manage wild horses and burros on public rangelands, the BLM Rock Springs and Rawlins field offices plan to begin gathering wild horses on or after October 7, from the Great Divide Basin, Adobe Town, Salt Wells Creek, White Mountain and Little Colorado Herd Management Areas (HMAs) in southwestern Wyoming.
