PENN YAN — The walking wounded which is the Oatkan Knights went to Penn Yan Saturday morning and finished the regular season with a hard-fought win to cap its regular season at 7-1. Union football remains perfect with 35-9 win over Rochester

ROCHESTER — After a week off, the Union football team was back to business as usual on Saturday, rolling to a 35-9 Liberty League road victory over Rochester. The Dutchmen (4-0 Liberty League, 7-0 overall) scored touchdowns on each of their first five offensive possessions at Fauver Stadium in cruising to the victory. Union has put up at least 30 points in all seven games this season, and Saturday’s win was the team’s fifth by at least 20 points.

SCHENECTADY — After its bye week, Union College football returns to action at Rochester Saturday at noon for a Liberty League matchup. Union (2-0 Liberty League, 6-0 overall) has only played one game this season decided by a single possession, while Rochester (1-2, 2-4) lost three consecutive games before topping Buffalo State 14-7 last week. When Union and Rochester last met in 2019, the Dutchmen won 47-19 in a game in which Union trailed 10-7 late in the first quarter before it scored 37 of the contest’s next 39 points.
