Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Attorney's Office has filed felony charges against a Byron man who accidentally shot himself last fall. 26-year-old Daniel Sorensen is scheduled to make his first court appearance next month on felony charges of reckless discharge of a firearm within a municipality and illegal possession of a firearm. He also faces a gross misdemeanor count of possession of a pistol without a permit.

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A busy roadway on the south edge of Rochester will be closed to traffic for the next five months. Starting Monday, traffic will be detoured off of Olmsted County Road 1 from Highway 52 south to the intersection with Olmsted County Road 101, which is currently undergoing a reconstruction project. The Olmsted County Public Works Department says County Road 1 project will involve the removal of the existing pavement, widening the shoulders, and paving a new concrete surface.

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is facing felony charges stemming from an alleged road rage incident last week. 34-year-old Aaron Gustafson has been charged with two counts of second-degree assault for allegedly pointing a gun at another vehicle while driving on Highway 52 in Olmsted County. Mantorville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A ceremony was held Saturday in Mantorville to dedicate Minnesota's first Gold Star Families Memorial Monument. The monument honors the families of men and women who have died while serving in the US military. There are currently more than 100 Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments in all 50 states. According to the Woody Williams Foundation, another 72 monuments are in progress.

The Wanamingo Jacks scored in seven of the nine innings of a 15-10 win Saturday night over the Owatonna Aces in Owatonna. The Jacks were led by the bats of Sam Roosen and Eric Swiggum.
