One year removed from the season that never was, the Robertson County soccer teams came back to the pitch. Greenbrier and White House Heritage both had seasons for the record books. Joe Gil Lawrence, 73, of Adairville, KY, passed away on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mr. Lawrence was born March 15, 1948 in Shreveport, LA to the late Gilbert and Theresa Prince Lawrence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the DAV - Pennyrile Honor Guard. Mr. Lawrence was retired from Firestone, having owned and operated his own sales store. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Lawrence was a pilot and loved flying both airplanes and model airplanes, and he also loved restoring old cars.
