Announcing the 2021 All-Robertson County Boys Soccer Team

One year removed from the season that never was, the Robertson County soccer teams came back to the pitch. Greenbrier and White House Heritage both had seasons for the record books. The Bobcats finished with an 11-4-2 record in possibly the greatest season in program history. The Patriots, at one point in the season, held a 14-game undefeated streak and fell an overtime period away from the sectional round.

Joe Gil Lawrence, 73, of Adairville, KY, passed away on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mr. Lawrence was born March 15, 1948 in Shreveport, LA to the late Gilbert and Theresa Prince Lawrence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the DAV - Pennyrile Honor Guard. Mr. Lawrence was retired from Firestone, having owned and operated his own sales store. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Lawrence was a pilot and loved flying both airplanes and model airplanes, and he also loved restoring old cars.

Louie was born May 1, 1942, in Springfield, to the late Lewis Hilliard and Mattie Lou Bennett Pendleton. He was a member of Woodland Street United Methodist Church. Louie had worked at one time for Sunbeam Bread Company but spent most of his working years buying and selling scrap metal. He loved woodworking and made beautiful furniture.
