COMMUNITY MESSAGE⁣ FROM THE RIVERSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT. In response to the recent home invasion robberies occurring in our city, we have a team of detectives and officers dedicated to investigating this uptick in criminal activity. As a result of their continued efforts, we have kept certain information about these investigations out of the public while leads are being followed up on, but will release some details when the need arises for our community’s help. In the meantime, we have set up an email for community members to send in any digital security video and information that could assist in these investigations. Our team is working tirelessly to solve these crimes and are asking for the public to send them relevant information, images, or video of suspicious people and vehicles seen in the neighborhoods where these robberies have occurred. ⁣

I can assure you our detectives are working these investigations exhaustively and have any and all available resources at their disposal to find those responsible, and we have increased patrols in these areas.

Free Summer Food Program

RIVERSIDE, CA – The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will be providing a free summer food program beginning Tuesday, May 31, 2022, concluding on Friday, August 5, 2022. The program is funded by the California Department of Education Nutrition Services Grant. The program will not be offered on Monday, May 30 and Monday, July 4. Meals are free for youth ages 18 and younger and are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Below are the locations and serving times. Whereas, in the last two years, participants were allowed to pick-up their meals and enjoy them off-site, this year that is not an option and all participants must remain on-site until meals have been consumed.

After realizing how much Joshua enjoys backyard gardening, they dreamed up a plan to build a farm where Joshua could develop his skills and have a career of his own. With their son’s future in mind, they sought a property that could serve as the ground for their new adventure.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – City Manager Al Zelinka today (4/28) named Edward Enriquez an Interim Assistant City Manager, effective Friday, April 29. Enriquez, who will retain his titles of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer concurrent with this interim assignment, will assume the duties of Assistant City Manager Lea Deesing when she retires in late May.
