Celina Aldermen Unaware With Who Installed Controversial Sign

The person or party behind a controversial sign regarding drugs in Celina remains unknown. The sign that has since been removed read “To drug dealers and dope heads, this is not Amsterdam, this is Celina Tennessee. We will put you in jail.” It was located on a Highlands Residential Services property without permission.

Upperman High School Running Well Amidst High Student Capacity

Upperman High School starting the school year at 107.3 percent capacity, but that doesn’t mean the school is bursting at the seams. Putnam Schools Attendance Supervisor Chris Pierce said that number has to do with a capacity rating set when the building was built. He said high school capacity ratings at high schools differ from other levels.

Algood Officers Save Man Overdosing On Heroin Using Narcan

Two Algood police officers saved the life of a man who had overdosed on heroin Friday evening. Police Chief Dale Armour said the department has partnered with the local drug coalition to receive training on administering Narcan. He said opioid treatment is the first line of defense when officers see an individual in need.
