Happy Herman's Hideaway

Hello there, my sweet San Saba loves, and how in the world have you been since last we spoke? One thing I will tell you is I have not been silent. I have tried to understand my new proclivity to bark at neighbors in their yard, barking dogs, dogs out and about, neighbor cats, squirrels, bugs, dad when he walks out the door and is pretty much my own shadow. Yeah, I have become excessively verbal Herman, and I do not think the parentals are pleased. The other day, I was asleep next to mom, heard a noise, jumped up, barked so loudly mom ended up jumping a foot off the couch. I am so glad her landing wasn’t on the hardwoods! After she calmed down, she turned to me and said…“Herman, I love you more than anything on earth. However, that being said, I can only love and spoil you if I am alive, so I suggest you stop all this sudden loud barking.” Umm, the woman does have a point, doesn’t she?

Hello, my San Saba friends, and how have you been? Happy Memorial Day and what has always been the first bloom of summer fun. Mom loves summer, and dad looks at it as a pox upon the world. He is already complaining about the humidity and saying he feels a bit like broccoli steaming in a pot. I am oh so tempted to tell him he smells like it, too, but I curb my enthusiasm about my own hilarious…
