TECHNOLOGY MODERNIZATION GRANT / RICHLAND COUNTY COURTHOUSE

(OLNEY) Richland County Circuit Court was recently awarded a technology grant totaling just over $189,000 from the Technology Modernization Funding Program offered by the Illinois Supreme Court and the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. Richland County Resident Judge Ray Vaughn and Circuit Clerk Zachary Holder sought the funding made available to county courts by securing bids for technology upgrades and drafting the grant proposal that was approved in its entirety. Computers, a courtroom projector for trial use, and digital scanning and storage of case files are just some of the many enhancements made at the Richland County Courthouse, all to provide increased access to the court system and streamline the administration of justice for those seeking court services. The grant request was coordinated in the Second Judicial Circuit by Chief Judge Melissa Morgan. Judge Vaughn and Clerk Holder thanked the Supreme Court for its grant support.
