With more people on the roads from June into October, there is more opportunity for accidents and dangerous conditions. And, since the beginning of the pandemic, those conditions have only gotten worse.

Man sentenced to prison in racketeering case

A Rice County man found guilty in a sophisticated racketeering scheme will spend at least six years in prison. Paul Scott Seeman, 48, of Cannon City Township, was sentenced Wednesday in Rice County District Court to 117 months on the most serious racketeering charge. In Minnesota, the final third of a prison sentence is typically served on supervised release. Seeman also was given credit for nearly four months already spent in jail.
