Sisseton golfers travel to Redfield

The Sisseton Redmen golf team traveled to Redfield on Tuesday, Sept. 13, to compete in the Redfield Invitational. Sisseton’s Mason Gray led the way for the Redmen shooting a 98 (48-50). Bradley Hanson shot a 107 (57-50), Konnor Seiber shot a 114 (59- 55), Reed Gray shot a 124 (66- 58) and Derek Karst shot a 130 (61-69).

Lorry Llewellen Buchholz, 81, of Redfield, SD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield, surrounded by his loved ones. Lorry was born in Redfield, SD to Milton and Barbara (Bancroft) Buchholz and was the eldest of four children. Lorry attended country school and later graduated from Redfield High School in 1958. In 1959, Lorry married Eileen Badger, and from their union three children were born: Sharla, Kristi, and Debbie. July 23, 1979, Lorry married Kristi (Arthurs) Buchholz and blended his family with three stepdaughters: Kea, Shawn, and Kalena.

Redfield defeats Sisseton

The Sisseton Redmen Volleyball Team came to Sisseton and defeated the Redmen 3-1 (25-19, 25-12, 21-25 and 25-12) on Thursday, Sept. 8. Redfield’s Gracie Fast had 13 kills for the Pheasants. Katie Rozell added 10 kills and 4 blocks. Mallory Smith went 14-16 serving with 3 aces. Annie Smith went 17-17 service with 1 ace. Judge combines 5th circuit cases involving Summit Carbon Solutions

Several of the civil lawsuits involving landowners and Summit Carbon Solutions in the 5th Judicial Circuit have been combined. This includes the civil cases filed in Brown, McPherson, Edmunds and Spink counties. While four of the lawsuits were filed by landowners against Summit Carbon Solutions, two are civil lawsuits filed by Summit Carbon Solutions against landowners in MicPherson and Edmunds counties.
