MINOT, N.D. — Cody Freeberg AND Jeran Hughes had had a busy week. And it was only Monday. The two 4-H members from Ransom County, North Dakota, competed in the North Dakota State Fair 4-H horse show on Monday, July 25, while also shuttling back and forth from the arena to compete in the Project Expo and Clothing Revue contests at the State Fair Center.

4-H District Communication Arts Contest

FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Tuesday, June 7, 2022 NDSU Extension – Sargent County hosted the 4-H District Communication Arts Contest for Barnes, Dickey, LaMoure, Ransom, and Sargent counties’ 4-H youth. The event took place at Sargent Central Public School, where 31 youth from the surrounding counties gave public presentations on a topic of their choice.

Washed out ND road leaves five injured

Five people are hospitalized after a 43-year old Lisbon (ND) man drove over a washed out road and culvert in Ransom County. The North Dakota Patrol reports Wesley Alinder entered a closed portion of the road shortly after 7:00 p.m. As a result the front end of the vehicle struck the opposite side embankment.

Five Seriously Injured in Ransom County Crash

LISBON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Five were seriously injured in a crash roughly 6 miles Southwest of Lisbon Wednesday evening. The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a 2009 Ford Explorer was traveling southbound on 127th Avenue SE, which is closed due to a culvert washout caused by erosion. The Explorer entered the washout and the front of the vehicle struck the opposite embankment, coming to rest at impact.

Rural Ransom County DUI crash leaves 2 injured

SHELDON, N.D. — A head-on crash two miles east of Sheldon left two drivers injured Saturday night, Feb. 19. 74-year-old Sheldon resident Timothy Allen Mark was stopped in a Chevrolet Suburban in the eastbound lane, waiting to turn into his residence. 68-year-old Sheldon resident Jeffrey Loren Grant was traveling westbound on the roadway in a Ford F-150 when he drove into the oncoming lane, striking Mark's Suburban head-on.

Enderlin Man Facing DUI After Rollover Thursday

SHELDON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 25 year-old Enderlin man is facing a DUI charge after a rollover in Ransom County. The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports Jesse James Schultz was traveling North on Ransom County Highway 52 to Enderlin at around 2 AM when the vehicle drifted off the roadway and into the east ditch. Schultz overcorrected and the vehicle rolled multiple times.

Authorities asking for help finding missing Enderlin teen girl

ENDERLIN, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Officers in Ransom County are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 16-year-old girl out of Enderlin. Officials say Brooklyn Henderson was last seen in the early morning hours of Dec. 30, 2021 wearing black jeans and a black hoodie with red and black Nike Airforce shoes. Henderson’s mother tells Valley News Live she believes her daughter is in danger and asks for anyone with information to come forward immediately.
