Police press conference planned after officer-involved shooting in Lexington

Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting involving Lexington police in a residential area off East New Circle Road. Lexington police confirmed there was an officer-involved shooting hours after police cars responded to the residential area around Thirlstane Court. The cul-de-sac was blocked off at Harrogate Road. Thirlstane is in a neighborhood between Bryan Station and Winchester roads.

Kentucky teenager’s body recovered from lake

The body of a teenage boy has been recovered from Kentucky Lake, officials said. The 17-year-old’s body was recovered Sunday after authorities were notified about a male that went under the water and didn’t resurface, Marshall County Deputy Coroner Curt Curtner told WPSD-TV. Curtner is also a part of the Marshall County Rescue Squad that responded to the lake.

Hardin Co. woman accused of shooting woman during dispute

A Hardin County woman has been jailed after being accused of shooting a woman. Kentucky State Police arrested 42-year-old Christiana A. York, of Rineyville, Friday night following York getting into an altercation with a woman on Kraft Road in Rineyville, according to a report by The News-Enterprise. At some point during the dispute, York brandished a firearm and shot the woman in the stomach.
