Voices and Votes: Democracy in America, a traveling Smithsonian Institution exhibition, opens at the Kennard African America Cultural Heritage Center, 410 Little Kidwell Ave., Centreville, on Saturday, June 12th. Hosted by the Queen Anne’s County Historical Society, opening day exhibition hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will coincide with the Juneteenth Festival, presented by the Kennard African America Cultural Heritage Center. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Fatal pedestrian crash investigation underway in Queen Anne’s Co.

CENTREVILLE, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened Wednesday night in Queen Anne’s County. Just after 9:10 p.m., troopers were called to a report of a pedestrian face down in the roadway on eastbound Route 50 at Cox Neck Road in Chester. The pedestrian, identified as 62-year-old John Price of Stevensville, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
