PUSHMATAHA COUNTY –– A Ringold, Okla., man lost his life in a one-vehicle wreck last Thursday on S.H. 3, approximately a half-mile east of Rattan in Pushmataha County. According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, John Lundry, 38, was eastbound on S.H. 3 when he ran off the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason, struck an embankment and rolled approximately two-and-a-half times. Reports state Lundry was ejected a distance of 67 feet. He was pronounced deceased at the scene with a head injury.

Agents are investigating a deadly shooting in Pushmataha County.

Pushmataha County authorities are investigating after a homeowner shot and killed one man and seriously wounded another who had broken into his house and assaulted him. They transported 25-year-old Shawn Blake Watts to an Antlers hospital where he died, and they treated and released the man with him. Officials have not made any arrests, and the investigation by the OSBI is ongoing.
