Four New COVID-19 Cases Reported Locally

Four more people in the tri-county area tested positive with COVID-19, according to Friday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. Two people in Marshall County were recently diagnosed with COVID-19, along with one person in Starke County and one person in Pulaski County. They are among 218 new cases reported in the state Friday.

Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties are in the blue status this week on the state’s County Metrics Map which indicates a low community spread of COVID-19. Pulaski County Council to Vote on Revised Justice Center Bond Tonight

A decision on whether to proceed with the Pulaski County Justice Center renovation and expansion is expected from the county council and commissioners tonight. Last month, the council narrowly approved the first reading of an ordinance that would let the bond process move ahead without the involvement of the county auditor. The ordinance will be up for the council’s final approval during tonight’s joint session with the county commissioners. A related resolution will be up for the commissioners’ approval.
