Pueblo Transit Received over $500,000 in Grants for New Commuter Plan

PUEBLO—Pueblo Transit was recently awarded two separate grants which improve transportation plans for the Pueblo commuter population. The awards from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Local Multimodal Transportation and Mitigation Options Funds (MMOF) total $580,000. These awards to Pueblo Transit will assist with commuting needs to the Pueblo Memorial Airport Industrial Park.

PUEBLO—The City of Pueblo has been selected to participate in Results for America's Good Jobs & Equity Project, a new effort supported by the Families and Workers Fund, to help state, local and tribal governments use federal recovery investments from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to improve job quality and advance workforce equity. Successful Tree Branch Drop Off at Lake Minnequa Park

PUEBLO—The City of Pueblo Parks and Recreation Department hosted a tree branch drop off service May 24-28 which included 1,863 loads of tree branches, which were collected during that time. Over 284 hours were spent by City of Pueblo employees to assist with this cleanup process and 13,044 cubic yards of branches and debris were dropped off at the site.
