Lawrence man still faces trial for killing woman, dumping body

SALEM, Mass. — The man who allegedly helped Giovanni Lebron dump a young woman's body into the Spicket River in Lawrence was already sentenced to a state prison term. The status of the first-degree murder case against Lebron, two years after the death of Nicole Connor, 24, will be reviewed before a superior court judge later this summer.

DOVER – A car spontaneously caught fire late Friday night on Broadway as the driver pulled over to the curb to check on mechanical issues. According to Dover Police Lt. Brant Dolleman, a 17-year-old female was driving her family's 2009 Hyundai Sonata, when she started to hear loud, concerning noises followed by the check engine light appearing.

NH State police: Two men charged after high-speed pursuit on Route 125

EPPING — Two men are facing charges after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase on Route 125 Sunday and then later on foot after ditching the vehicle. Shane Eisener, 45, of Sanford, Maine, was arrested Sunday on a charge of resisting arrest and on an outstanding warrant from Rockingham Superior Court, according to trooper Sgt. Joseph Ronchi.

'A beautiful piece of property': 16-lot Sixth Street subdivision proposed in Dover

DOVER – A new subdivision has been proposed for land across from four single family homes nestled at the Sixth Street and Long Hill Drive intersection. The 19.3-acre property is currently vacant and the developer Settlement on Sixth LLC, owned by John Haley, has plans to construct a 16-lot subdivision along a future private drive that will be called Wildcat Drive, according to documents submitted to the city. Of the 16 lots, 13 are slated to become single-family homes, and three lots will remain as open non-buildable lots if the project is approved.
