Syracuse man nearly killed from burns after being sprayed with ‘unknown liquid’ by roommate

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse man sprayed his roommate with an “unknown liquid” and left him near death, police said in court records. The roommate suffered third- and fourth-degree burns on his face and arms as well as facial swelling, blisters, difficulty breathing and “excruciating pain,” according to the felony complaint filed in Syracuse City Court.

Turning Stone to require concert attendees be fully vaccinated

A Central New York casino will soon begin requiring concert attendees be fully vaccinated. The Turning Stone Resort Casino recently updated its website with a note that says, beginning Nov. 8, all ticketholders 12 years or older will be required to provide proof of getting a Covid-19 vaccine to attend any show at the Turning Stone Event Center or The Showroom. Concertgoers ages 11 or under will be required to show proof of a negative Covid test within 72 hours of the performance and will be required to wear face coverings while at Turning Stone.
