Port Angeles man injured in collision with Sequim driver

A Port Angeles man was injured in a collision with a Sequim driver near Morse Creek on Jan. 13 in Port Angeles. According to a Washington State Patrol report, 79-year-old Gary Ross of Sequim was driving southbound on Masters Road when he attempted to turn eastbound on U.S. Highway 101, colliding with a pickup driven by Shane Lowe, 41, of Port Angeles.

Victim survives 120-foot fall from bluff in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES – The Port Angeles Fire Department reports a victim survived a 120 fall from the bluff to the beach in west Port Angeles at 10th and N Streets. First responders got the call at about 1:00pm Wednesday that the teenager was at the bottom of the bluff in an area that’s not easy for rescuers to access. Multiple agencies responded, some making access from the cemetery at West 18th Street and others accessing the beach from McKinley Paper mill.

Fire burns Sequim structure on West Alder Street

A fire on Monday, Dec. 20 engulfed a single-story, vacant home on the 300 block of West Alder Street. Assistant Fire Chief Tony Hudson with Clallam County Fire District 3 said fire crews responded to a 9-1-1 call at 2:50 p.m. for the fire about a block from the district’s Station 34.

Medical event leads to crash at PA Farmer’s Market

Emergency workers investigate after a westbound pickup truck lost control, struck a parked trailer on East Front Street and veered into a railing during Saturday’s farmers market at The Gateway transit center pavilion in downtown Port Angeles. Cpl. Erik Smith of Port Angeles police said the male driver apparently had a medical issue at the time of the wreck, but he and a juvenile passenger were uninjured. No market vendors were set up at the site of the incident, and no one at the market was injured. A parked car, a street sign and a light pole were also damaged.

Elderly pedestrian killed in collision

An 83-year-old pedestrian who was talking to a driver stopped on a rural roadway was killed late Tuesday afternoon. The driver of a northbound vehicle in the 3000 block of East Sequim Bay Road struck Denis E. Body at about 5 p.m. on Nov. 23 as Body was stepping away from a driver sitting in the southbound lane, according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
