Poplar Bluff golf program built championship run after setback in ’94

Before they won consecutive state championships in 1995 and ’96, the Poplar Bluff Mules golf program had to go through a little adversity. The Mules held a nine-shot lead with nine holes remaining in the 1994 MSHSAA 4A state tournament only to lose by a single stroke to two-time defending champion St. Joseph Central.

A Dexter woman was arrested in Dunklin County by the MSHP Tuesday afternoon. 51 year old Daya Doolittle was arrested on a felony Clay County probation violation warrant, possession of meth and traffic charges. She was taken to the DCJC.

Poplar Bluff's Thielemier wins flight at MGA Senior Series

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Brad Thielemier of Poplar Bluff shot even-par 72 Monday to win his flight at the MGA Senior Series. Thielemier won the 50-54 Open flight by a shot over Tony Nolfo of Festus and Kyle Catron of Carthage. Jimmy Vernon of Poplar Bluff tied for fourth at 2-over 74.
