(PONCA CITY, OK) Gas prices vary across in the Ponca City area, but if you’re willing to head for the cheapest station, you could be saving up to $0.46 per gallon. Murphy USA at 1115 E Prospect Ave was the cheapest station in the area, according to a survey by GasBuddy, with regular listed at $2.75 per gallon Wednesday. By comparison, the most expensive gallon was at OC store at 64464 W Us-60, where a gallon of regular was selling for $3.21.

Saginaw Grant, noted Native American character actor, dies

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Saginaw Grant, a prolific Native American character actor and hereditary chief of the Sac & Fox Nation of Oklahoma, has died. He was 85. Grant’s publicist, Lani Carmichael, says Grant died peacefully in his sleep of natural causes on Wednesday at a private-care facility in Hollywood, California.

Body Vortex Alley Brewing had started as a hobby by Marc Spaulding along with a group of friends brewing craft beer. Spaulding began brewing in 1999 in response to not being able to find craft beer in Oklahoma at that time. He then began to teach his friends how to brew and invited them to try the beer.

Body Wyatt Miller, a member of the Tonkawa 4-H Club, was one of 18 students to be selected to participate in the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Youth Leading Agriculture Conference. The conference was held June 14-18, 2021 in Oklahoma City and the surrounding area. The conference is designed to expand the horizons of top agriculture students through hands-on activities, agriculture-related tours, leadership development projects, and engaging speakers from across the agriculture spectrum.

Body Kudos to the Ponca City Park Department for keeping the city’s flower beds looking splendid when the temperatures in Ponca City have reached the high 90’s with the heat index over 100 degrees.
