Brutal Attack on Woman at JFK Train Station in Queens Caught on Camera

A brutal attack on a woman at a Queens train station used by many to get to one of NYC's airports was caught on camera. The victim said that a homeless man came up to her out of nowhere while she was on her way to work at the airport on Sept. 20. Elizabeth Gomes was at the Howard Beach/JFK Airport train and subway station and said the man first tried talking to her, then followed her for a while — before slamming her into the wall and throwing her to the ground before he started mercilessly punching and kicking her.

Landlord charged with homicide in deadly Long Island fire

Suspect Identified in Deadly Stabbing During Fight Over Bad Manners at NYC Smoke Shop

Police have identified the suspect who allegedly stabbed to death a man who held a door open for him at a NYC smoke shop, then confronted him for not saying "thank you." The simple act of kindness became one of the last things that 37-year-old Joan Nunez ever did. Video showed the fight inside a Gowanus smoke shop on Sept. 21 between Nunez and another man, identified by police as Edwin Pedroza. A witness said Nunez made a comment about not getting thanked by the man for whom he held the door open — to which the other man said that he never asked Nunez to open it.
