Local police reported they made several arrests recently. • Stacy Gardner, 31, 25431 Modrell Ave., Elkhart, was arrested by Elkhart County police and jailed on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after police responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of 10640 C.R. 4 in Middlebury around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was sentenced on drug-related charges in Kosciusko County Circuit Court Thursday, July 29. Sheri Alice Courson, 58, 1118 E. Clark St., Warsaw, pleaded guilty to three charges involving two separate cases. The charges in the first case included possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony, and maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony.

A 17-year-old Elkhart boy was killed and two other people hurt in a crash. The collision happened on County Road 108, around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, when Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies say the vehicle was traveling eastbound, about a mile east of Bristol, before veering off the north side of the road and hitting a tree.

SALZBURG, Germany — Benteler has agreed to sell its automotive plants in Goshen, Indiana, and Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Shiloh Industries, the company announced Thursday. Motorcyclist injured in Wednesday crash along US 30

A motorcyclist was injured along US 30 Wednesday afternoon. The Warsaw Police Department said the crash happened around 5:45 PM at the intersection with Silveus Crossing on the city’s north side. They say 81-year old John Stull was eastbound along US 30 in a pick-up truck and was making a left turn. As Stull was making the left turn, he collided with a westbound motorcyclist, 63-year old Phillip Beer of Craigville.
