Victims identified after fatal crash in Scott Township

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Two people are dead after a head-on crash in Lackawanna County Saturday night. It happened along Heart Lake Road in Scott Township around 8 p.m. The coroner says Jason Miller of Carbondale and Anthony Maurizio of Pocono Lake died in the head-on crash. Proposal would send Pennsylvania families hundreds each month

There is a new proposal called the Family Security Act 2.0. Under this program American families would receive between $250-350 per month for each child. In this proposal, children ages five years old and under would receive $350 each month and the money would be sent to the parents. For parents with a child between the ages of six to seventeen years old, the parents would receive $250 each month. It's important to state that this bill is just in the proposal stage right now and it's not law at this time.

More clouds but warmer for Monday

PITTSBURGH — Clear skies tonight will allow for one more very cold night as we again drop well into the 20s by Monday morning. Clouds will return in the morning and increase through the day. We are dry on Monday with highs warming through the 40s. Rain showers arrive Tuesday but will be very light and isolated in nature. Those showers linger into Wednesday with highs in the middle 50s. We then dry out Thursday before another rain chance Friday, likely our best one of the week, and showers return to close out the weekend and start next week with seasonal highs.

Three people hospitalized after crash involving Millvale Police patrol vehicle

SHALER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - An investigation is underway after a crash involving a Millvale Police vehicle happened on Friday night. According to Shaler Township Police, just after 10 p.m., they responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Babcock Boulevard and Geyer Road. It was a crash between a Millvale patrol vehicle and another vehicle. Three people were involved in the crash, a Millvale police officer and two people in the other vehicle. They were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries that are believed to not be life-threatening. Shaler Township Police have said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
