Dozens of employees to resign from Truman Medical Centers over vaccination mandate

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Thousands of employees working at Truman Medical Center/University Health are now required to be vaccinated. The hospital announced in July it would mandate all employees be fully vaccinated by Sept. 20, unless they had an approved medical waiver. The hospital was the first in the metro to announce a vaccination mandate for employees. Many other hospitals have since followed and announced their own requirements.

Henry County motorcycle accident injures two from Warrensburg

HENRY COUNTY, Mo. — Two Warrensburg residents were injured in a Henry County motorcycle accident Saturday morning. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Fred W. Niblock, 67, was driving a BMW motorcycle on Missouri Route 7, west of County Road NW 681, at 11:40 a.m., Sept. 25. At this time, his motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway. He and his passenger, Ann P. Niblock, 67, were both moderately injured and transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
