Caregiver charged after two kids die in crash

An 18-month-old and a 16-year-old were killed in a crash near Tyrone Square Boulevard and Norfolk Street in St. Petersburg Friday, according to police. The St. Petersburg Police Department says an 18-year-old woman has now been charged with manslaughter and child abuse.

Pedestrian hit by car and killed in Zephyrhills

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and died after crossing Gall Boulevard late Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver, a 67-year-old male from Tampa, was traveling northbound on US-301, south of Kossik Road, when he struck a 30-year-old male from Zephyrhills crossing the highway, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is currently investigating a vehicle collision near the intersection of Tyrone Boulevard and Norfolk St. that resulted in two fatalities. Police were called to the scene at 12:52 p.m. on Friday, July 30. Multiple people, several of which were minors, were sent to a nearby hospital.

Two killed, children in hospital after St. Petersburg crash

Two people are dead and others, including children, were injured Friday after a a crash on Tyrone Boulevard, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department. A car crashed off Tyrone Boulevard North near the intersection with Norfolk Street North around 12:52 p.m. Friday, sending several people including children to an area hospital, police said. The crash also occurred near St. Petersburg Catholic High School.
