Major paving project to start soon along U.S. 23 in Pike County

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - We have a traffic alert to pass along for drivers who use one of the biggest highways in the region. Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet tell WYMT the outside lanes of U.S. 23 between the Buckley’s Creek and Stone Coal intersection in Pike County will be closed starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 7th.

Local price review shows Pikeville diesel price, cheapest station

(PIKEVILLE, KY) The price of diesel varies by as much as $0.20 in the greater Pikeville area, according to a recent price survey. The survey, which looked at prices across the Pikeville area on Tuesday, found that Speedway at 151 S Mayo Trhad the cheapest advertised diesel, at just $3.09 per gallon. By comparison, the most expensive station in the area was Autobahn Service Center at 1082 S Mayo Tr, which listed a per-gallon price of $3.29.
