Highway 86 fatality

Wren firefighters attempt to gain access to the driver of a vehicle after it went over a guardrail and slammed into a tree roof first. It happened on Highway 86 near Wiggington Road Tuesday night. Anderson County deputy corner Don McCown identified the driver, James Gregory Freeze, 55, of Easley, who died after crashing into the tree along Highway 86 Tuesday night. Troopers said Freeze was not wearing a seatbelt and sadly died at the scene. There were no other people in the car. Medshore Ambulance Service as well as a QRV responded. Firefighters work to extricate driver – Highway 29

Firefighters from West Pelzer, Piercetown, and Whitefield work to free the driver from the wreckage of his vehicle Sunday afternoon. The wreck happened on Highway 29 north of Cherokee Road. The car left the roadway and struck several trees and overturned. The driver was flown to Prisma Health by helicopter. Medshore Ambulance Service, Anderson County QRV’s, deputies, and troopers responded to the wreck. Highway 29 was shut down until the wreckage was cleared. (Photo by David Rogers)

Coroner identifies victim killed after being hit by trailer in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina)- The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified the victim who died after they were hit by a trailer in the Montebello Community. The Coroner's Office identified the victim as 18-year-old Sydney Marie Harvey from Greer. She was transported to Prisma Health-Greenville Memorial Hospital by EMS, but was pronounced dead at 2:19 p.m. today.

Greenville restaurant forced to close early after car crashes into it

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina)- Adams Bistro in Greenville closed early on Friday night after a vehicle accidently crashed through the window. The owner told us despite the damages, they plan to be back open tomorrow. Greenville County dispatch said no one was seriously injured during the incident.

Plane crashes into trees in SC neighborhood, pilot escapes with minor injuries

CNN– A pilot says a parachute saved his life after his small plane crashed in a Greenville neighborhood Sunday. The pilot, William Klepper, was forced to deploy the emergency parachute after an engine failure. Klepper says he did his best to keep the disabled plane from hitting any homes, as the plane and its parachute got tangled in power lines and trees behind a home.
