PICKAWAY – Two people were injured and transported to the hospital after a crash in South Bloomfield. Accoridng to law enforcement the crash occurred around 2:40 pm on Monday South Bloomfield police responded to a crash at the intersection of US-23 and 316. The red Subaru was traveling southbound on US-23 when it attempted to turn left onto East North Street when it failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled in front of a Ford Edge that was heading Northbound on US-23 striking it.

PICKAWAY – One student was detained earlier after a gun threat at Logan Elm schools. According to the Pickaway County sheriff’s office, SRO received a threat of a. possible student with a firearm at Logan Elm Schools today. The student was located and detained without incident. A Smith and Wesson handgun was found and confiscated.

PICKAWAY – A possible four-car crash occurred on US-23 Northbound around 9:30 am on Tuesday. According to early reports, at least four people are injured, and the road is closed in the area of Orr Road and US-23 in Pickaway County. Children are involved in the crash. Pickaway – Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey is pleased to announce the arrest of two males from Michigan today. At around 1:55 PM Sgt. Stephen Harger was on patrol on US 23 in the area of US 22 when he observed a Ford F-150 far exceeding the posted speed limit and stopped the vehicle for the violation. Upon observing criminal indicators, he requested Cpl. Morningstar to the scene to assist. Both Deputies detected an odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle.

CIRCLEVILLE – Pickaway County was involved in a high-speed chase with a vehicle that has three individuals inside around 11 pm on Tuesday. Accoridng to the Pickaway County Sheriffs’ office a traffic stop was attempted on SR 104 southbound when the driver of a black Nissan Sedan was clocked at 63 in a 55. The driver of the sedan did stop at the Goody Nook at the intersection of 104 and 22 where Deputy Thomas asked the driver for a driver’s license, and the driver told the deputy he did not have one. The deputy also noted in the report the smell of alcohol and marijuana was coming from the vehicle. When he asked the driver 28-year-old Brien Turner to get out of the vehicle the Turner put the vehicle into drive and took off heading eastbound on U.S. 22 toward Circleville.
