Church Mouse: Fishing for enough from the Pierce County side

It was always a treat this time of year to take a drive along the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi River before going to work. For most of the seven years during my part-time job at the church, there were several days a week when I didn’t have to be at my desk until shortly after noon. An outdoor patio a little ways into Pepin County was a favorite spot to linger. If I allowed enough time, I could stop at beautiful scenic overlooks in Pierce Country coming and/or going.

The gathering Saturday was, mostly, back to normal. The event started earlier in the morning to try to keep the crowd smaller and did not include some of the kid activities as it normally would.
