Joan Rivers’ abandoned ‘Beverly Hills’ mansion lists for $2.3M — in Pennsylvania

An abandoned Pennsylvania mansion that had been custom-built for Joan Rivers and her husband, Edgar Rosenberg, in the 1970s is back on the market for $2.3 million. Initially built by longtime local developer Thomas Pileggi over the course of 10 years, the seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom home was designed with all the Hollywood-style amenities in mind — and with Rivers envisioning a slice of Beverly Hills in the suburban area of Warminster of Bucks County.

The Fault in Our Stars is a 2014 American coming-of-age romance film directed by Josh Boone, based on the 2012 novel of the same name by John Green. The film stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort; with Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, Nat Wolff, and Willem Dafoe playing supporting roles. Woodley plays Hazel Grace Lancaster, a sixteen-year-old cancer patient who is forced by her parents to attend a support group, where she meets and subsequently falls in love with Augustus Waters, another cancer patient, played by Elgort.

$1 billion worth of film, TV projects looking to shoot in Pa., film office head says

When Dawn Keezer took over as the director of the Pittsburgh Film Office in the mid 1990s, she was happy if one Hollywood movie a year filmed in Western Pennsylvania. Twenty-five years later, she’s constantly fielding calls from streaming services and film studios who want to shoot in the Pittsburgh area. The calls are increasing now, and crews that had to wait out the worst of the pandemic are knocking on the Keystone State’s front door once again.
