What we know about the fatal Pa. Turnpike accident involving a GOP candidate for governor

A Republican candidate for governor has denied he caused an accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike last week in which a Bradford County motorcyclist was killed. Charlie Gerow, 66, was involved in an accident Wednesday night in Chester County. A highway construction worker told Spotlight PA that he saw a car later identified as Gerow's traveling on the other side of the turnpike with a motorcycle wedged into its grill.

Pennsylvania State Police are warning of “major traffic disruptions” between approximately 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday throughout Lehigh County, as Biden is slated to land in Lehigh Valley International Airport and travel to the Mack Trucks’ Lower Macungie Township plant.

PA GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Claims He Did Not Cause Fatal Accident

HARRISBURG (AP) – Republican PA gubernatorial candidate Charlie Gerow says he is cooperating with an investigation into an accident in which a motorcyclist was killed and that shut down the westbound lanes of the PA Turnpike in Chester County, just west of the King of Prussia interchange, for seven hours. In a statement through a spokesperson, Gerow said that he did not cause the accident. PA State Police have released little information about the accident Wednesday night, saying only that it involved a motorcycle and a car that Gerow has identified as the one he was driving.

Pa. GOP gubernatorial candidate had motorcycle wedged into his car grill in fatal crash: witness

As Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate a fatal crash on the turnpike in Chester County involving a GOP strategist, a witness said he saw the immediate aftermath. Nicholas Forgette, a highway construction worker who was working on the turnpike Wednesday evening, said he was on the opposite side of the highway when he saw Gerow’s car pass by with a motorcycle wedged into the grill of the car.
