Woman killed by three pit bulls, Pennsylvania State Police say

NEWPORT, Pa. — A woman was killed by three pit bulls she was caring for, according to Pennsylvania State Police. On July 28, state police say a passerby saw a woman lying in the front yard of 29 Henry Road in Miller Township, Perry County. It was also reported that three dogs were running loose in the yard.

Pennsylvania girl gets 42 stitches after suspected shark attack in Ocean City, Maryland

OCEAN CITY, Md. — A 12-year-old Pennsylvania girl had to get 42 stitches after a suspected shark attack in Ocean City, Maryland. According to WBAL-TV, Jordan Prushinski and her family are from Luzerne County. They were on vacation Monday at the beach at 119th Street when she went into knee-deep water. She was swimming and boogieboarding when she came limping out of the water bleeding.

A Susquehanna County man is accused of leaving his 12-year-old granddaughter unattended while he rode off on a bicycle loaded with marijuana plants. Pennsylvania State Police say they saw 59-year-old Ronald DeGraw of Great Bend transporting a large pot containing five marijuana plants on a bike at 3:09 a.m. Sunday, August 1 on River Road in Great Bend.

Bank robbery suspect fled in stolen car, leading to Cumberland County lockdowns: police

A 30-year-old man on the run Wednesday after allegedly stealing a car and robbing a Cumberland County bank has been officially charged, Pennsylvania State Police said. Carlisle resident Zachary A. Heckman has been charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, flight to avoid apprehension, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and agricultural vandalism. He was unable to post $300,000 bail Wednesday and remains at Cumberland County Prison, according to online records.

State police looking for witnesses of I-81 crash that killed 2 children

Pennsylvania State Police are urging anyone to come forward who witnessed a Tuesday afternoon crash on Interstate 81 that killed two children in Cumberland County. The 2- and 4-year-old children were traveling north through Silver Spring Township around 3:39 p.m. when their driver Gregory A. Nornhold, 35, of Mechanicsburg, crossed the grass median and hit two southbound cars, according to state police.

Coroner IDs man, woman killed in central Pa. crash

The Adams County Coroner’s Office has identified a 32-year-old man and 22-year-old woman who died on impact in a Friday night crash outside a Berwick Township restaurant. Authorities said Thomasville resident Michael Green was driving a motorcycle east on York Road (Route 30) at about 10 p.m. when he hit a Kia Forte driven by Karigen Emig, of Gettysburg.
