Motorcyclist killed in PA Turnpike crash identified

Authorities have identified the man killed in a Wednesday night fatal accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Chester County as Logan Carl Abbott, 30, of Bradford County. Chester County Coroner Dr. Christina VandePol said Abbott was driving a motorcycle that was involved in a collision with another vehicle in the Turnpike’s westbound lanes near mile marker 320.5 in Tredyffrin Township. The cause of the death has been attributed to “blunt impact” injuries, resulting from the crash.

1 dead, 3 hurt after car strikes bicyclists in Pennsylvania

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. — One bicyclist was killed and three others were hurt when a car struck them along a Pennsylvania road, authorities said. According to WPXI-TV, the incident occurred about 4 a.m. Thursday on Route 22 eastbound near Brick Hill Road in Murrysville. One bicyclist died at the scene, while three others were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

At Least 10 Hurt in Pennsylvania Turnpike Crash

At least 10 people were hurt when a truck used to transport cars hit multiple other vehicles on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Wednesday afternoon. The crash on the westbound lanes of the highway near milepost 292.7 in Morgantown happened when the truck was rounding a curb and failed to see the traffic had already slowed because of another crash, the Pennsylvania State Police Department said. The truck hit some seven to eight other cars.

BUCKHANNON — A two-vehicle accident on Rt. 33 East claimed the life of a woman from Pennsylvania Monday night. According to investigating officer Sgt. T. Posey, of the Buckhannon Police Department, Blanch Grannis was the victim of the fatal accident. The 84-year-old New Castle, Pennsylvania woman was reportedly pulling out of WBUC Rd. in a 2011 Chevy Cruz and attempting to cross the intersection near the Huddle House. Sgt. Posey said Grannis pulled out in front of a 2021 Subaru Forester traveling east on Rt. 33 that t-boned her car.
