Paulding County 4-H Is Proud To Recognize Excellence in Poultry Judging!

The Paulding County 4-H Poultry Judging team recently competed at one of the Northwest District Poultry Judging Competitions in Gordon County, Calhoun, Georgia. The team consisted of Junior and Senior 4-H’ers who spent 11 weeks preparing for the competition. Participants judge both live specimens and market poultry, identify parts of birds already prepared for market, and evaluate eggs for their quality and readiness for market. Participants are also asked to justify their placing decisions through a set of oral reasons.

Beware the bear: Paulding County Sheriff warns of bear sighting in neighborhood

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia sheriff is telling locals to be on the lookout for a bear in their neighborhood - and to leave it alone. The Paulding County Sheriff's Office posted two pictures to Facebook on Saturday that showed a black bear near a white fence. The message said the bear was spotted near Woodrow Kay and Pleasant Grove roads early Saturday but had been spotted several times in the Beulah community on the county's west side.

The complainant advised that she and her husband had gotten into a verbal/physical argument that had gotten extremely heated. The argument continued as she and her three children retreated from the home.
