Jennifer L. Dumont, 62, of Park Rapids and Vining, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, MN. Jenny Lee was born August 5, 1960 to parents John and Esther Litzau in Park Rapids, MN. In 1981 she had her first-born daughter, Heather followed 10 years later by her daughter, Ashley. Jenny enjoyed crafting, garage sales and bird watching. She also loved her dog, Samsun and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She al-ways thought of others before herself. She is preceded in death by parents, John and Esther Litzau; and siblings, Carol, Linda, Anne and Bill. She is survived by her husband, Chris Andersen; daughters, Heather (Jesse) Wedeking and Ashley (Roberto) Lopez; grandchildren, Samuel, Korben, Eli, Wyatt, Estavon, Aurora, Christopher and Kevin; four great-grandchildren and siblings, Cindy, Helen, and Nick. Celebration of life was 1-4 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake, MN. Private Burial to be in the spring of 2023. Schmitt: Where to Find Fish on Central Minnesota Lakes

The colder weather this week is helping area lakes firm up with more ice. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News joined me on WJON. He has some suggestions on how and where to catch fish on Central Minnesota lakes in December. Glen suggests fishing weed edges locally because we don't have big expansive lakes like they have in other portions of the state. He tends to like finding his own locations to fish and not set up shop among a cluster of fish houses. Schmitt indicates he may fish on the perimeter of these fish house clusters but not among them.
