Man Accused of Multiple Child Molestations in Morgan Hill

MORGAN HILL (CBS SF) — A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of multiple acts of child molestation in Morgan Hill, authorities said Thursday. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said on July 7, deputies investigated a sexual assault in an unincorporated part of Morgan Hill. Investigators determined the suspect, Luis Alberto Lozano, was responsible for various acts of molestation on a number of victims. On Wednesday, detectives served a search warrant for his arrest at his workplace in San Jose, the sheriff’s office said. Luis Alberto Lozano (Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office) Lozano was later booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on eight counts of felony child molestation. On Thursday Lozano made his initial court appearance and was ordered to be held without bail. He is currently being held at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas. The sheriff’s office was determining whether there are any other victims and encouraged anyone with additional information to contact the office at (408) 808-4500.

COVID Delta Variant: San Mateo County Facilities Again Requiring Masks Indoors Amid Rising Cases

SAN MATEO COUNTY (CBS SF) – Officials in San Mateo County said all visitors to county facilities will again be required to wear a face covering indoors regardless of vaccination status, amid rising COVID-19 cases due to the Delta variant. A Morgan Hill man was charged July 22 with eight felonies in relation to the alleged sexual assault of three children, according to authorities.
