Yella Beezy is an American rapper from Dallas who is best known for his songs such as 'That’s on Me', 'Up One', 'What I Did', and 'Bacc at it Again'. He dropped a bunch of mixtapes as a teenager and gained attention following the release of the track 'Trap in Designer' from his third mixtape 'Lite Work' in late 2016. He next earned fame for the singles 'That’s on Me' and 'Up One', both of which featured on his debut album 'Ain't No Goin' Bacc', released in 2018 from Hitco Entertainment. He maintains that he is very much an independent artist and is not signed to any label, rather has been exclusively licensed by Hitco. He has performed opening acts for artists like Jay Z and Beyonce. He survived a deadly shooting attack in October 2018, but has since then resumed his performances and recording.

Charges against Dallas rapper Yella Beezy dismissed

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Two charges of sexual assault and child endangerment or abandonment against Dallas rapper Yella Beezy were dismissed.  The entertainer, whose real name is Markies Deandre Conway, was previously arrested in Collin County in November 2021.Four years ago, the rapper (who has opened for Jay Z and Beyonce) was shot multiple times inside a car on the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville.  At the time of the shooting, one of his friends, Dietric Alexander told CBS11 that "He is a real humble, real nice guy. Very likable and funny type of guy." Since his charges were no billed, Conway's attorney can have them expunged from his record.  Yella Beezy will perform at the Juneteenth Unity Weekend celebration in Dallas on June 18.

The 30-year-old rapper's apprehension came after a warrant was issued for his arrest the previous day. The reason given for the warrant is "bond held insufficient," meaning the judge in the case has decided the rapper's previous bail is not enough. His current bond is set at $1 million.
