I spoke with Wim Hof, a.k.a. “The Iceman.” Wim holds 26 world records for his feats of endurance and exposure to cold―such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro wearing only shorts and shoes, running a barefoot half-marathon in the Arctic Circle, and standing in an ice-filled container for more than 112 minutes. On 16 March 2000, Hof set the Guinness World Record for farthest swim under ice, with a distance of 57.5 meters (188.6 ft).
