Athens Creative Theatre will present “Misery” by William Goldman based on the novel by Stephen King. A psychological thriller following the story of successful romance novelist Pail Sheldon and his captor and number one fan Annie Wilkes who becomes enraged when she discovers her favorite character is killed off in Paul’s newest novel. Annie forces Paul to write a new “Misery” novel and quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go. He quite literally is writing as if his life depends on it, and it does.
