Cowboys' Will Grier: Season concludes

Grier (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Grier has not been active on game day since Week 8, with Cooper Rush occupying the backup role ahead of him. Even with Dallas hoping to make a deep postseason run, Grier's third season as a pro is over without him having recorded a statistic.

Cowboys' Will Grier: Inactive again

Grier (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Grier hasn't dressed for Dallas since Week 8, when top backup Cooper Rush made a spot start against the Vikings while Dak Prescott was sidelined with a calf injury. Expect Grier to remain a fixture on the inactive list the rest of the season so long as Prescott and Rush are both available on gamedays.

Cowboys' Will Grier: Inactive against Atlanta

Grier (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Grier was limited in practice Friday due to a knee injury and he's been ruled out of this contest. However, his fantasy upside is almost non-existent as a third-string signal-caller and his absence won't affect any fantasy rosters.

Cowboys' Will Grier: Lands on injury report

Grier is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons due to a knee injury, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Grier popped up as a limited participant at Friday's practice due to a knee injury. It is unclear when the issue was sustained, but it presumably occurred at some point during the week. His status as the team's No. 3 quarterback will now depend on how he is feeling closer to kickoff.

LISTEN: How Do Will Grier, Corey Clement Fit In Cowboys Offense?

The Dallas Cowboys released their 53-man roster Tuesday, but were tweaking it less than 24 hours later. The Cowboys signed quarterback Will Grier after he was waived by the Carolina Panthers, the team that drafted him in 2019. The team also added running back Corey Clement, a four-year veteran and former Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles. Clement signed with the New York Giants in the offseason, but was waived as part of their cutdown to 53.
